Hi. I'm Catlin. Thank you for visiting my website, I hope to meet you in person one day.  Art is a two-way street, a dialogue between artist and viewer, so without you I am just hollering into the void.  I am truly grateful for your presence here and your interest in my work.

I enjoy transforming raw materials, found objects, and bits and pieces of nature into something lovely. Custom orders are always welcome and I am happy to use elements brought to me by clients, such as a special stone or a particularly interesting branch, whatever you find out in the world that resonates and you would like to see on your wall or wear on your person as talisman adornment.

Art often compels us to reflect or confront our usual way of seeing and relating to the world around us.  To this end, my work calls attention to small beauties...the quiet perfection of a polished beach stone, the elegant arabesque of an apple wood branch or a bit of driftwood.  I work to achieve a contextual shift that allows the viewer to relate to these objects in new and sometimes unexpected ways.

I delight in creating visually beautiful artwork that resonates with the viewer, reflects the remarkable and ever-changing relationship between humanity and nature, and highlights the inherent value of our natural world.

Studio locations:

I am forever grateful to work out of two incredible spaces.  My primary studio is on a remote mountainside outside Willow Creek and my secondary space is located at 824 L St, at the heart of The Creamery District in Arcata, CA.  This blossoming neighborhood is home to many amazing artists, a theater playhouse, dance school, yoga studio and a fantastic new pub; it's worth a visit.

It's really wonderful being able to host clients in these spaces, offering the experience of picking out stones from my collection and, if desired, taking part in the designing of bespoke jewelry and sculptures.

Studio visits are by appointment.
Please use the contact form to schedule your visit, I look forward to meeting you!
